Dark videos for some reason, HELP!!

Hi all, for some reason videos generally appear very dark on my monitor even though websites are bright. Changing monitor settings doesn't seem to help, and in fact changing settings has absolutely zero effect on videos watched directly through netflix. I can't even imagine how to begin to fix...

1600x1024 resolution: Fixing the "pinched" look?

My monitor supports 1600x1024 resolution. When I set it to that resolution, everything looks stretched upward. Is it possible to fix that?

Cooling issues: Help for a n00bie

I'm running two copies of prime95 on my new gateway gm5076e, at high priority, and on its first night the computer shut down. People in the post I linked to suggest it's a fan or circulation issue. I'm a total newbie when it comes to fans, so I'm looking for suggestions...

Prime95 on Pentium D 3.2GHz

Prime95 on Pentium D 3.2GHz

How long: A few minutes. I watched it well after that screenshot, and the temperature stays almost constant at 60.0 degrees. Occasionally it'll do 61.0 or 59.0, but literally for less th an a second. I'll check how hot it runs without prime95 running at all. That might show if it's a fan issue...

Ack. It restarted last night while I was in bed. I'm going to try running two copies at priority 1. Yesterday I had one at priority 8 and the other at priority 10. I might want to look at getting a better fan, if the warranty allows. I have a free version of Hmonitor, and it says my CPU...
