Display does not go flush to monitor edge

As I said in my post, it's not a monitor adjustment, it displays correctly when hooked up to my main computer. I want to fix it by getting the settings correct in the computer, The monitor is at correct resolution, and has been reset to default settings.

Display does not go flush to monitor edge

Hi, I built a computer for my son, windows 7 pro, with core i5-4430, Gigabyte geForce GTX 950 videocard, Asus VS207D-P monitor. The monitor is correctly identified by windows, and the videocard has latest drivers. The problem is there is a very thin black border around any output on the...

I bent CPU socket pins on a 'dead' mobo

Not a total loss, if you bend pins on a mobo, they put you 'out of warranty', and you send $50 and they send you a new OEM. Since they can't test the mobos being sent back, and considering it was my fault on the pins, I'm pretty happy I'm only out $50, and not the full $130.

I bent CPU socket pins on a 'dead' mobo

I don't think they could be straightened without looking like they were straightened. I'm not trying to hide the fact that I accidentally bent the pins, but it was done after the mobo was 'dead', not while in use. Can't they still test to tell if it is dead regardless of the bent pins.

I bent CPU socket pins on a 'dead' mobo

Boy, I really screwed up. I have an Asrock Z77 Extreme 4 and the board 'died' after a year of use, no post, no beeps. Checked the Psu, ram, and HD, that left CPU and processor, and being that I didn't overclock, I'm pretty sure it was the board. Even though its over a year old, this board has...

I just checked Asrock support page, and it says that this mobo has a 3 YEAR WARRANTY!!! I was assuming I was out of warranty range after 1 year. No Asus this time.

That's what most posts, and even computer tech say, that usually a working processor won't die, unless you're overclocking which I'm not. If a CPU is bad, it's bad out of the box. I really like this ASrock board, but I think I'm going to switch to an Asus. What's your opinion?

P.S. If I remove all the memory sticks I do get a long beep with the error code for missing memory in dr debug.

I removed all sata cables, including boot drive, headers, etc. no luck. I can't try a different video output, because I wasn't using a dedicated videocard, I was using graphics through the processor. So it looks like its down to either the mobo or processor. How can I differentiate to figure...

I installed the power supply from my other, working computer, and unfortunately, no change, no post, same A2, IDE Detyect error message. Is my only recourse now to try a new motherboard?

Can't see how it could be standoffs, built this a year ago and it's worked great. I looked around for shorts, but don't see any.

I checked the graphics output connections, and everything seems secure. Unfortunately I can't test the videocard from my older system, it's a P4 with an AGP graphics card, so it's too old. I really can't see going out and buying an onboard videocard as a test. The system shut down while...

Ok, and I guess I can throw my video card from my other system in as a test

I've searched posts also, but it seems these are tied to new builds. When you say check connections, I'm using graphics from the processor, so which connections would I check?
