T5500 vs T7200?

One thing to consider... Isn't the 5500 a lower wattage than the 7200? The battery would probably last longer on the 5500. I'm not sure by how much, though. How much does the 4mb vs 2mb cache make? JJ

GUI For Kids

I just built my kids a win2k machine and I was wondering if there were any GUI replacements or anything to make the computer more logical for a 4 year old. Mostly, she will just pop a Blues Clues cd in and it will autorun, but it might be nice for her to learn along the way. JJ

Burn multiple dvds at once

Burn multiple dvds at once

I'm wanting to buy 2-4 dvd burners so that I can do multiple burns at once from my computer. I know nero supports burning to multiple drives, but I can't figure out how it would work. A single 16x dvd is ~22MB/sec whereas most hard drives top out at ~10MB/sec. By that calculation, a hard...

ECS "865PE-A"

I have an ecs 865pe-a with a celeron d 2.66. I'm currently running it stability at 160mh fsb, 200mh ram, and 66/33 lock. I can't push the fsb any higher, though, presumably because of voltage. It's been a very good motherboard, especially since it only cost $50. Is there any way to bump up...

Wait a sec... Did you do Options - Output Format Options and Options - Global Project Options, yet? That's where you set all your encode prefs and if you don't do it then you won't be able to do anything else. If that's not your problem, then I'm not sure. JJ

Did you double-click the .exe or just rename it? At first I just renamed it and nothing happened. I ran the executable and told it where to extract to (it uses the same "installer" as Xmpeg does. After it's done, you should be able to fire up Xmpeg and look in File - Informations. DVD should...

Increasing core voltage
