I installed a new GTX 950 today, what a difference in performance, even with my old mobo/CPU. Thanks all for the suggestions.

Windows created Local Disk (Z:), how to remove?

Never mind, I saw a solution posted on Tom's and it worked. Turns out the Temp drive was mapped to Z: for some reason, probably that image viewer I installed.

Flash player memory leak?

Yes, I have tried both IE9 and Chrome. The problem exists with equal severity for all of them. Ironically, Firefox seems to have the least amount of slowdown of the three browsers.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that's not really an option for me. It's a review course for a medical licensing exam. It also wasn't cheap, and they are very adamant about going after people who copyright infringe, so I don't want to risk it. Plus I don't really feel comfortable doing that...
