Fry's has a better deal if you need pata instead. Seagate PATA 400gb #4303145 $214 - 45mir = $169 keep in mind Seagates have 5 yr warranty. I think WD only has 3 yr.

Lindows Mobile PC for $799

but remember there's no microsoft tax on it so you already bought Windows or have another OS to install on it, there's no markup for whatever the mfgr has to pay for a copy of windows that you're not going to use. (XP home is crap and that's what get's bundled with cheaper laptops)

it's a regular PC so it should work just fine. pretty good price for a lightweight machine w/ usb2 and firewire. just add wireless and it'd be a great machine.

i'm in the same boat. does the warranty cover breakage of the lcd? btw, anybody know if the built in orinoco 11b minipci is removable? I'd like to replace it in the near future when 11g gets finalized.

AA batteries for your new toys

there ARE some uses for the disposable kind, alkalines are great for things like clocks and remote controls. nimh just doesn't work well with things that sip slowly.

Reduced call costs - US Domestic 2.5c, no monthly fee. Good service IMO.

maybe he likes the cash back from Discover. if it's a rewards mastercard you need, give the citibank rewards card a try. 1% back on all purchases. I've also heard good things about the Chase Stockback card. chase stockback cardCitibank dividend card

GPS 310 Navigator $49.88 at CompUSA B&M

you can use it on the ipaq if you get the serial cable for the 310 AND the serial cable for the ipaq. the 310 used to have a coupon for a free data cable but I don't know if it's expired anymore (it's in the box.)
