Just built a new system. Athlon XP 2600+ 512mb PC4000 80gb Seagate ATi 9600 128MB I set all the mobo configurations to auto but accidentally set the FSB to 200Mhz. It booted up but I could install windows. When i noticed the problem i quickly lowered the FSB back to 166Mhz. But now i get...

That's exactly why i'd like to flash my bios to the latest! And this "Hardmenu BIOS"... what's that? I was just planning to flash my bios using the latest release from the abit site.

I'd like to flash my bios using Abit's FlashMenu for Windows. The reason I like doing it via Windows is so that i can keep my existing setting in my bios. I have a solid overclock and I really dont want to do anything to change it - or risk not being able to reach the current clock speed I'm at...

Strange random freezing

i just cleaned out some spyware. But i still get random restarts of my explorer.exe Any suggestions?

Errr... Explorer.exe is the SHELL. I dont think i want to be stopping and restarting it over and over again.

Thanks for your replies. I also checked the OS forum but didnt find any useful info. Strange thing about explorer.exe crashing is that my desktop comes back with all the windows again.

After like an hour of usage, my computer freezes for like 5seconds and the taskbar and windows disappear. But 1second later, they all come back except some icons in my taskbar. My computer is fully operational after one of these "freezes". Oh and i have been running my setup for about 1yr now -...

DVD-R media for my NEC 2510A

I just got this burner too. Is there any way you can burn 4x media at 8x with this drive? Also, is there a way i can make sure I can burn at 8x? Like i have the 2510A burner but Nero doesnt allow me to select anything above 4x and there are no indicators that 8x is my max speed.

IE6 webpage display problem!

Hehe, thanks for the suggestions. It's just strange because i've never had problems with IE before. Used it before for years. But after a fresh install on this new system and a few weeks of usage, i get these weird errors.

Hi everyone, For some strange reason IE6 has a problem loading *SOME* web pages. For example, a page like Tomshardware.com ALMOST loads up but just as the load completes, an error box comes up with "Internet Explorer cannot open Tomshardware.com, Operation aborted". I can see all the graphics...
