It was an upgrade from a clean install of W7. The time zone was correct and the time had been correct until all of a sudden when it was 12 hours ahead.
I am going to see how well it works out with the original HD. It was a 1TB WD and the other is a 240 GB Crucial SSd.

I am a little late to the party, but here is my take on this.
I just went through the same thing. I went into the bios and turned off UEFI and that took care of the problem. I do understand some motherboards don't have the option to turn it off though.

I knew there was one person on here smart enough to figure it out!!!! The large fan was facing up in with less than 1/4 inch from the top of the case and the air flow through the psu was not enough to carry away the heat. The psu was a 500 watt with plenty of amps on the rails.

I had one of those netbooks several months ago. If I remember correctly, there was an option somewhere, probably in desktop properties, to change the resolution to 800 X 600. Then if something was off the bottom of the screen, you could just scroll and see all of it.
