I had a shock this morning when I switched my computer on, it wouldnt boot. The screen came up with the message Award BootBlock Bios v1.0 Copyright (c) 2000, Award Software Inc Bios Rom Checksum error Detecting Floppy drive A media INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER I've never seen this...

it means u can only install it from dos. So use a boot disc and update the bios that way!

I've noticed that Aopen have taken the 1.04a beta bios off the download page. Have they finally realised that its got a major problem with it!! There taken there time to release the next bios, every other motherboard seem to have updates apart from this one!

Zalman 7000: is low pressure between HSF and CPU a problem?!

I have a Zalman 7000cu and it fits perfect and totaly solid, not problem! It's great, silent and a excellent cooler!

Safest P4 Voltage and Temps

I have a P4 2.8C processor and want to overclock to the max. What it the safest top voltage do you think you can give these processors and not have it fry. Also what temperature should I aim to be below? Thanks

What difference does it make moving the memory to the black slots? Is it safe to take the CPU voltage up so high? What Temps do you get? I get around 34C idle and 51C load. With my current config.

The Zalman 7000cu fits this board. took a gamble and brought it, and its great. Totally silent, can't hear it even on the highest fan setting. Shoman94, what excat settings are you using, memory, voltages etc are you using to get to 3.487Ghz. What temps are you getting idle and load with that...

I ordered a Zalman 7000cu and it just came this morning. I'm going to plug it into a 4pin plug and set it on high speed. I was using the Silent tek to control the Spark7 because of the noise, but now I wont need to worry about noise.

I've been using a Thermaltake Spark7+ Heatsink fan, it only has a 3-pin plug, how can it ruin the header???

Help! My CPU fan power is gone. For some reason the fan has stopped working on the CUP fan header. The fan works, plugged it into the system fan header and it goes. I've checked all the settings in the bios and Silent Tek, all are ok and haven't changed. I've plugged in only the fan speed...

i've been having problems with cold boots with the beta bios. thought I had a problem with my processor because i've overclocked it too hard! Any Ideas when the new bios will be released. getting a bit annoying having to set all the parameters every day. I could go back to 1.04 bios I guess
