Please Help!!! Is my problem my Athlon XP's fault or my Asus A7V266's fault?

Only times I've seen this problem happen was on Asus boards...never found a fix for it except changing the motherboard (to a non asus of course)

Northwood Dillema - Am I Seriously this Unlucky?

First off the rambus I'm using will run fine at 533. Second, the abit th7II allows you to use 3x instead of 4x on the ram so that kinda rules out the rambus problem. (at 133fsb and rambus at 3x it doesnt even full get back up to 400mhz on the ram). Also, you posted a link to a bios #'d h77 (link...

Northwood Dillema - Am I Seriously this Unlucky?

I'm having similar problems with my 1.8A and TH7II I can only get it totally stable at about 2ghz, which is pretty disappointing...no matter what kind of settings I put on the memory.

KT133a vs KT266a at Gaming HIGHER resolutions

Do what I do, sell your current stuff to somebody locally (build a friend a PC or something) so you can buy the newer stuff for yourself =)

any continuing problems with sblive and VIA?

Personally I've never had a problem with a SB Live card in any of the multiple hundreds of systems I've built with them, whether its a VIA chipset or SiS or Intel or what-have-you. Not sure why some people report problems. ps. Currently running an SB Live on a kt266a board and XP...no problems...

anybody got a shuttle ak35gtr yet?

I got mine about a week ago, working fine so far, no problems. Seems quite a bit snappier than my old SDRAM setup (1gig sdram vs 512DDR)

Transition from Athlon to Athlon XP

I've used the DFI AK75-EC many times (we sell them at work) and they will work fine with your Athlon XP without the bios update. It'll just say the actual mhz rating instead of the PR rating of the XP (So instead of 1700+ it'd say 1.47ghz) No worries.

Yes, and i still will go through with the deal as agreed originally. I'm just saying I shouldnt have to go through with a deal that the other person is trying to change the details of. And I'm also looking for Wiser, he isnt on AIM that I can see either.

Like I said above, I have no problems with completing the deal with him if he wants to send it first I am not going to ship first, or cross-ship because that is not how the deal was agreed to. If he doesnt like that, then I guess the deal is over. It's not really my problem if he went ahead...

Also I think it's interesting that he "was busy and didnt send out the MO" Sure wish I had cross-shipped (<--Sarcasm). Last thing I want to deal with is "oh i was busy and didnt send it" Also, try waiting for a reply to your PM before you going straight to the boards with it.
