Formatting new drive

so is this one of those Vista things where it is still kind of messing up? I've been with OSX for almost a year so switching to Vista and dealing with this stuff is annoying. I still have the macbook pro though.

CS Source

I've been away from CS for awhile. Last time I really played was when 1.6 was the biggest thing out. Went and bought Source tonight and I can only see like 150 or servers to choose from. Is that the normal amount or is there something I need to do to see more then that? Thanks

Well I ended up canceling the format because it would never tell me what the progress was or anything like that. And I think when my computer went into sleep it stopped it. So I went into My Computer and did a "quick format" from there. Formatted fine; everything seems to be working. It...

Gaming Motherboard

What is the best gaming motherboard for an intel q6600? I have been looking at the EVGA 132-CK-NF78-A1 ATX? Just wondering what other people thought. Looked at ASUS as well. Haven't built a computer in aboue 4 years, so this is all new again, haha

P2P tracking

The College that I attend has just said that downloading music off of p2p networks is against school policy and can get you kicked out if you get caught. I'm using frostwire on my mac, if I disable sharing can I still get caught doing this? I really do not know much about high tech...

I'm running boot camp on my MBP and I want to use my external monitor to play my games on it. How do I set up my windows so that I can close the lid to my laptop in windows and use my monitor like I do in OSX?

I start the first of August. I'm going to a military school so I don't really think I'm gonna be taking it around that much. And we aren't allowed to have tv's in our rooms until our senior year, so it would be nice to have the extra screen space for movies. You might be right though about...

Macbook Pro or Alienware?

I really don't have a budget to say, I would say under $3000. I'm going to be about 600 miles away from home and I can't have a TV, so this thing will be doing pretty much everything. Movies, music, school work, some gaming when I have the time, and just other little things.
