Need a little help 'Hot Flashing' a BIOS *** UPDATED ***

Each motherborad has its own bios written for it, and it only. Just because it is an Award bios doesn't mean you can install it into any motherboard. You need to go to the board manufactures web site and down load the bios for that particular board. Gary

Win2000 Power Management/Shutdown Problems

I did some checking on compatiblity issues about programs had when I purchased W2K. Office 97 sr1 will work with W2K only if it is installed on win98 and upgraded to sr2 and then win98 upgraded to W2k. I think you can install office 97 sr2 on a clean install of W2k. I ended up buying office 2000...

At last I have found the answer. Microsoft find fast that was installed with office 97 was indexing my C: drive, and was set every two hours. Don't ask me why it was trying to access the A: drive. Looking at the log time when it last indexed it was the exact time that drive was accessed, and...

I have the same problem, but I am running Win98. The strange thing is that the a:Drive gets searched on a regular bases. In fact after I boot it takes 2 hours 1 min., and every 2hr.1min. after that. I have gone through all the steps in the post above form the Annoyances web site to no avail. I...
