Can anyone address power consumption on these drives? I haven't been able to determine if it's any lower than most of the new spinners. I like speedy access but I've always gone for power economy and if these drives aren't any more effecient I can hardly see the point in the upgrade...
So how do you like it? How are you using it? Just as a TV or as a PC monitor too? How's the non-HD signal upscaling? If you have a minute it'd be great to talk to someone first hand.
The deal is dead for now. The price is $1224 with free shipping and a 4 year extended warranty. Still a better deal than the Best Buy sale price Best Buy of $1299 but no longer an insanely great deal.
Thanks for all the feed back guys. I figured the 2.4 gHz cpu and the 7200 rpm drive was the best combination and that's what I went with.
I knew you guys would chip in once someone got the ball rolling.
What do you think guys? I have two notebooks xps m1530 that are the same price. One with a 2.5gHZ C2D and 320mb HD @5400 and one with 2.4gHz C2D and 320mb @7200 rpm. Which combo will give me better performance. Help.
Easy
Well, if you're buying if for your own use I suppose it wouldn't matter since you could just return it to the store. Reselling it might be problamatic though.
That's definitely a good deal if you get a unit that works. Reseller ratings seem to have an inordinate amount of complaints about them but it's difficult to tell from those ratings sites sometimes if the complaints are legit. I guess you'll have to take your chances if you buy.

In that price range and zoom range the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM is a perfect fit. It's got very good quality optics and it's highly regarded by the hi-level amatuer photog. Canon's 70-300 page. There are a lot of people who like this lens a lot. You can read plenty of user reviews...
What does everyone think of the Dell XPS deal? It's an XPS 630, E8400, 6GB DDR2, DL-DVD-RW, 640GB HD and a GeForce 9800GT. I can't seem to configure this deal on Dells site. I forgot to mention the 24 in. monitor.
I'd be interested to hear what you guys think of this hardware for $1349?
Good luck and good job! You shouldn't have any trouble with the rebate. Unlike Circuit City, Staples never seems to have a "minimum price paid" stipulation in their rebate offers. Nice find.
Do it! I'm going to do it this afternoon. You'll get it for the same price as the NewEgg deal, $263.99. You'll also have the added advantage of the 10 day (or 30 day?) money back policy so you can try it and see if it's worth the cost to upgrade over your 8800 GT 512MB. Oh wait, that's me...
Excellent deal, really. I paid $122 for mine and I'm still happy. The SD port makes it a must buy over the POD as far as I'm concerned.
If any new Zen owners want to save a few bucks on the Arm band see my for sale thread. I bought it when I bought the player and never even opened it.
