Why is I.E 6 on my Win 98 128 encyr. but on my win2000 its only 56 bit?

Why is I.E 6 on my Win 98 128 encyr. but on my win2000 its only 56 bit?

I can't figure out why on my old machine (using Win 98) my Internet Explorer 6 is 128 bit encryption, but when I downloaded I.E. 6 from Microsoft website for my new computer (using Win 2K) its only 56 bit encryption? Any ideas? Thanks. EC

Stupid question BUT is there a way to delete drop down items in "file/folder search tool" in Win2K

I know I know..this is a stupid question, but now its driving me nuts because I can't figure it out. We were cleaning up a friend's computer and used the "search of files/folders" function to get the crap out. Now there are about a 1000 things in that drop down menu. How do we get rid of those...

Advice on checking computer temps please

I have an EPOX 8KHA+ system that I built and after turning it on..sometime my monitor doesn't come on before the temps are shown during bootup...without having any hard-wired temp gauge is there another way to check the computer temps? Thanks for any help you can give.

Soyo Dragon+ or Epox 8hka+

The EPOX 8kHA+ is an awesome mobo. I did a lot of research before buying one and it consistantly ranked in the top. I just built my first system and used this mobo...no problems!! Good luck

Will the free zone alarm be enough when also using a router

I thought you can do all your blocking/opening specific ports and such via a router. If that's true..then it seems like the free version is all I really need. Am I right in thinking this? Thanks for all your replies! EC

Is my powersource the caues for "FF" code on EPOX?

Can my Chieftech PSU be the source of my "FF" problem with EPOX?

Thanks guys..I"ll check the voltage settings. Yeah with the 420W PSU it goes to "FF" immediately. Granted "FF" means all is good..but from what I've heard it needs to cycle through codes first. Plus with the 420W PSU..I have a blank screen. With the 250W PSU...I get close to the bios with an...

Shouldn't it cycle through codes first before reaching "FF"? With the 250PSU it cycels through some codes..with the 420PSU it goes immediately to "FF" upon pushing the start button...

If its not a powersource issue then what can it be? Like I said..I get an immediate "FF" code with the Chieftech and 420PSU? It doesn't even cycle..however when hooked up to my old system using a 250W PSU (nothing else changed)..I get a cycle of codes. Any suggestions on what I should do? RMA...
