What are the normalities of your acids? If you have been using them for 40 years, are you sure there is still acid in the solutions and not salt water? Also, and more important, you experiment seems flawed. Nitric/ hydrochloric/sulfuric acid will not do any damage to glass, which is why they...

Evolution is only a theory...or is it?

Michaelis-Menten: Why does a low Km imply a strong affinity?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michaelis%E2%80%93Menten_kinetics "Km is the inverse of the enzymes affinity", or think of it as the enzymes K^-1 This would imply that an enzyme with a high K value, or high affinity would have a low value. If K=5 then Km=1/5 . Best explanation I can come up...

1981 Corvette

My parents have one that I have put the last 3k miles on (to a total of 10.3k miles). The mileage is really as bad as advertised with the 3 sped automatic with somewhere around 15mpg. The brake lines on many 81 Corvettes rust out and will probably eventually need replaced if they have not...
