Heathbar, Did you install the drivers for the Micron JMB36X Controller? This controller supplies an additional IDE connection to the P5W DH board. Check the "Device Manager" to ensure that you have installed all device drivers for all components.

...and BTW, FSB is an acronym for Front Side Bus. It is basically the speed of the bus connecting the microprocessor, its chipset, and connected main memory. We were all newbies once.

The 2 X 16X PCI-E is the main reason but if I didn't have to already wait for my E6600 I would have purchased a P5W DH.

E6600 Overclocking Thread

Make sure and disable System Restore before doing the virus scan and thanks for the updates. They are very useful.

The Asus P5N32-SLI Premium/WiFi-AP doesn't look like it is going to be much cheaper than the Intel boards. Hopefully there will be more options sooner rather than later.

Best PC gaming & PC hardware Magazine?

It depends on what you are after. An enthusiast/gamer would tend towards MaximumPC. I have had a subscription for over two years and still look forward to my new issues every month. If you want the latest info. though, the forums are the place to get it.
