[Retired] The LCD Thread

Hi, this is a pretty off topic, but does anyone know the maximum resolution (or bandwidth) supported by a VGA connection, or where I could find out? When I search google I keep getting junk about the VGA resolution spec and not the connector spec. Whoever answers will be my hero forever...

btw can anyone in Canada confirm if they've received rev. A03 of the 2007wfp from dell? (or s-pva panel) So far I think only the states has started massing those pva's......anyone?

I just got my 2007wfp last month, and it was still S-IPS Rev A02, I think it's still quite a viable option for those in Canada. For once its good we get the newer revs later :) I got mine from made in Mexico, and somehow they got it all mixed up and sent me another "replacement" without me...

yea it was a clean install without the 250gb drive. that didn't work, so i connected both and did another clean install. the boot sequence is right in bios too (confirmed by the fact that i can see windows loading screen). i'm lost, it may just be something conflicting in the nvidia southbridge?

on the WD drive there are some jumpers, but they are meant for spread spectrum enabling/disabling, for sata there's no longer "master"/"slave" since its 1 drive per "channel".

Sounds like 19" with 1280x1024 is right for you, the dot pitch is pretty large. So Samsung 971P with a PVA panel should be good for your needs.

I was taking pictures to say that I DIDN'T have the same backlight bleeding as niall, but with my digital camera, it DOES look identical to niall's bleeding. i cannot see that at all with the naked eye though. Is it really a defect, or are all panels prolly like that?
