ASUS A7V333 Revision 1.02 vs. 1.04 ???

My rev.1.02 used bios 1011 no change but, temp sure was lowered to 3c, others reported a drop of 7c-10c w/c is getting very wierd probably in rev.1.04 which you have noticed. For bios 1012, a promise support for upcoming xp2400+, xp2600+ so they say, w/c I am using now.

What's your mem voltage? Mostly I ask this question cause, all I have used was crucial mem for almost 2yrs w/c is b/c sometimes it's unstable below 2.7v and sometimes I leave it usually at 2.75v for ddr mem. Past experience from abit kg7-r, av7266e, my present rig. If you have an option of...

AX-7+Panaflo FBA08A12U Fan+A7V333 Temps

I use to have an AX-7 with a Panaflo the ultra 47cfm fan with an 1800+ with A7V333 with an idle of 46c and 51-52 load with oc to 1667mhz 53c idle, 58-59 load(running rc5,vcd sing-along, downloadling w/morpheus same time). Tried with AX-7 and alpha 8045 w/ same fan with xp2100+ AX-7 idle was...

What is the Asus A7V Max CPU speed?

Can't remember but, certain bios version lets you choose in bios 5=14 or multiplier by 5(14)*100mhz=1400mhz. Try both if you can. Remember, earlier than than revision 1.02(writ.b/n the pci slots) may not work.

How do I find out the core? (Slot A Athlon)

It's old but, some 750 did have 900-950mhz and speed was not determined by serial #'s, but by breaking the its' shell:Q.

At what point do you want to change the multiplier?

Yes, but processors has limits also. Some people overcome those limits with voltage mods and peltier/water cooling. So, don't expect much if both hit its' limit. Mix both fsb and multiplier to find the target w/c components agree on(stability) and not benches.

At what point do you want to change the multiplier?

FSB overclocking is more noticable than the multiplier cause, every piece in your pc will pushed to its' limits. Once hit the wall in FSB o/c'ing then curiosity takes over. (curiosity did kill the cat you know;) j/k.)

What is the Asus A7V Max CPU speed?

carefull with a7v especially with the first rev. w/c supports to 950mhz only and do burn unsupported procs. Now if you have A7V Rev.1.02 then its okey to hit 1400mhz did with mine long ago when axia's were popular o/c'ers.
