i want to install pc2100 ram and would like it to use the extra bandwidth of the faster ram
now i check the intel chipset and it does support pc2100 ram.
thanks guys
also can a change the cpu out for say a pent 4 2.4ghz?
not really
just make sure your burner and hard drive on opposite channels...
so you don;t have alot of buffer underruns
because ide can only access one device per channel at a time...
ok i am building a dualie on the asus a7m266d mainboard
with 2 mp 1800+
4 36 scsi fujusti 10k rpm hard drives
52x cd rom
floppy drive
and a nic
and a ati 32m pro something video card
now i want a really good powersupply and i have narrowed it down to the antec pp501d (500 watt)
and the enermax...
ok if you are pressed for money...
get a shuttle ak31a rev3.1 newegg has them for 80 bucks
the k7ada uses the ali chipset which isn't that good
the drAGON+ And the shuttle use the via kt266a chipset
i am curious why the epox board's rma is so high compared to all the other boards they sell?
maybe all the inept user buy epox!!!@!:)
no seriously though i am real curious on which boards do get more rma than others...
is there a website or something with that type of data?
as much as this pains me to say....
get an intel chipset if that is the most important thing\!!!! though i leave my dragon+ on for days no problems....
the board only comes with 2 in the front on the smartcard reader and 2 in the back with io stuff
if you want to use the other usb header you need an usb adapter
