How 2 boot from CD to copy files from hard drive

My friend has an old XP machine that is set up so that you can't copy files off to a flash drive. I am thinking you need a bootable CD that would then allow you to copy files off and unblock the USB ports. I have an original XP cd but won't this just go into setup? I am assuming there...

Yes it seems to. At least I was finally able to update the dead Tomtom gpss in safe mode. The Iphone finally updated when I force rebooted the Iphone. The computer finally recognized it and Itunes recognized it in Recovery mode and all went well after that. But, I assume the initial Iphone...

Yes. Evertything is up to date except the video driver which is not as current as the current Nvidia driver as the current drivers dont seem to support it.

Vista 32bit to Win7 64 bit?

You can not upgrade 32bit to 64bit directly and keep your programs and settings. If you have Vista 32bit installed, you can use the 64bit Windows 7 DVD to do an upgrade but it will be doing it like a clean install and your old installation will be wiped out.

Old Photo Restoration

Photoshop would be the software but depending on the condition of the originals, it could be a huge job. It takes a lot of skill to get great results. It is a time consuming task.
