Can I buy just the slot for a slot a motherboard??

Dumb error, picked up a slot a motherboard and a socket a cpu, can i buy just the slot and put my socket a processor in it? If so where? Thanks

Installed New Floppy then Insert System Disk??????! *&%!

The cables are installed right, the light goes on then off, and the cables work with my old floppy drive still... i never heard of this problem, i mean my computer works fine with my olf floppy, but i need to put it in another computer so i figured i would take the new one......... nothing but...

Installed New Floppy then Insert System Disk??????! *&%!

Here is the deal, I got a new 3.5 floppy (Teac) from newegg.com and when I replace my old floppy with the new one and I boot my computer I get "insert system disk" So i do and i get no where. I know the cable is in properly so what the hell, do you think i got a busted floppy??

Which sound card?

Keep this in mind... I got the sound blaster live 5.1 and i got good sound, but my computer lockes up several times a day. Oh my northbridge is kt133a

ABIT KT7A BIOS??

First how can i tell what version my motherboard is. Now I need to update my bios, can i just update to the latest version? MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION...... Is the 3C bios update gonna work for a non raid KT7A or should i stick with the ZT update version?? link

Please read, i'm not getting anywhere with my problem...

Ok, I have an Abit KT7A and a Sound Blaster Live + MP3 5.1 I know about the conflict. Here is what I have done soo far. Put the sound card in the 4th pci slot starting from the one next to my AGP. Downloaded the most recent VIA drivers, 4.32 I think. Downloaded the most recent Live + MP3 5.1...

Minor Problem

I just bought a 3.5 floppy a Teac from newegg. Tried installing it yesterday, in windows 2000 and when i have it in and i load windows it tells me to insert my system disk. I tried my cable both ways, a lil help!!

Umm thanks for the help guys can i ask one more question?? I never installed any VIA 4 in 1's All installed was the system monitor. Where can i get the latest VIA 4 in 1???

how to make a boot floppy??

I have windows 2000, i'm gonna be formatting due to hard drive problems. uncached speed sucks, missing 2 gb bc at first i used fat 16 and reformatted went to fat 32. Will windows make a boot floopy for me??
