The cables are installed right, the light goes on then off, and the cables work with my old floppy drive still... i never heard of this problem, i mean my computer works fine with my olf floppy, but i need to put it in another computer so i figured i would take the new one......... nothing but...
Here is the deal, I got a new 3.5 floppy (Teac) from newegg.com and when I replace my old floppy with the new one and I boot my computer I get "insert system disk" So i do and i get no where. I know the cable is in properly so what the hell, do you think i got a busted floppy??

Ok, I have an Abit KT7A and a Sound Blaster Live + MP3 5.1 I know about the conflict. Here is what I have done soo far. Put the sound card in the 4th pci slot starting from the one next to my AGP. Downloaded the most recent VIA drivers, 4.32 I think. Downloaded the most recent Live + MP3 5.1...

All installed was the system monitor. Where can i get the latest VIA 4 in 1???
I have windows 2000, i'm gonna be formatting due to hard drive problems. uncached speed sucks, missing 2 gb bc at first i used fat 16 and reformatted went to fat 32. Will windows make a boot floopy for me??
