Circa 1988, would have been 3-4'ish when playing a few games on my Dad's Spectrum.
Migrated through the Amiga 500+ to Amiga 1200 then a Cyrix PR200-based Win 95 PC.
Played for about half an hour and I remember why I fell out of love with Jets'n'Guns 1 and the genre in general.
I just do not have the manual dexterity and reflexes to cope with something like this anymore, especially on a keyboard.
Petroglyph are the Devs behind the remake. They haven't really produced anything of note since forming, and the whole 'ex-Westwood Studios employees' doesn't fill me with any additional hope.

Backed it on Kickstarter but they alienated a good portion of people by announcing DLC prior to completing the game.
Still looking forward to it but cautious over their business practices.
It looks okay... Sort of disappointed that they moved away from big ships with broadsides and even the big cargo ship looks pretty small.
I'll keep it on my watch list but it doesn't look half as interesting or intriguing as the original.
