Best Laptop/Notebook for Under 1500

Im looking for basically 2 Ghz / 512 MB Pentium 4. Those are what i want essentially, but cd-rw/dvd drives would be nice. And of course all the usually things that are included, such as 10/100 ethernet, sound card, video card, etc. What do you guys prefer? And i had trouble building a...

Power LCD Wire Broke, Chieftec Server Chasis/4g4a+

well, this wire broke in half, and i cant power on the system now, how can i reconnect this small led power wire? tape does not work :/

Ordered my 4g4a+ wit a 1.6A on sunday last week @ 5:30 AM. It is now sunday, 2:58 AM. They still are on step 1 of 5, I used a bankers check. That is about 7 days....it voids in 7 days it said! What worries me if they dont get the check cashed on time and the order voids, and the 1.6a will...

For one, ther eisnt any samsung 800 available (the only affordable arriond), and i do not need it.....i am not going to be running strianing tests to see how long my comp will survive
