Thanks for all the posts everyone :) I'll probably just stick with the 460's for now until I see a need to actually upgrade them. Everything else in my system is pretty recent, and 1080p is definitely enough to make a bottleneck at the graphics card(s) and not the CPU or something, but...

You're probably right. Keep in mind that I want to ramp up settings as much as I can without a lot of issues. I realize that some games, regardless of rig, will cause some stuttering with the advent of DX11 and the like, but I want to minimize it as much as possible. I just figured that...

Interesting. A 20-30% bump is pretty significant, especially considering the bump I'll get from SLI down the line. I think I'll stick with the 460's until I actually start playing a game for a decent length of time that actually causes some serious FPS issues. I guess that's what it's all...

Ooof, well that's not very comforting! But yeah, I have a 500gb HDD with my unplayed games/music/backup, just in case. Do these things fail a lot or something?

Are you sure? I have no clue, of course, but it seems to perform well in Atto (which I've been told is the best benchmarking test to use).

Yeah tell me about it. When I use ATTO, it comes us as roughly 250/275 R/W, so that seems more in line, but it takes larger files to represent those speeds (which I understand to be accurate). I just want to make sure I'm not missing something. I've heard that AS SSD is much friendlier...

Won't boot from Windows CD

Yeah, I'm an idiot. It booted just fine when I used a CD-R version of it. Sometimes it's the little things that we overlook, eh?
