anyone own this & the 4100 series? is there a significant improvement? i have the 4100 & it has worked flawlessly with no drops at all even through wireless.

fans, mobo, cpu fan still running after shutdown

how do you install a sata device on a prior windows installation?

so i guess my options are to either get another drive for the raid configuration or disable raid & hope it is detected after boot up. i will try to copy the drivers into windows if nothing else helps. would that corrupt/crash or muck up anything if i just copy drivers over? thanks

how do you install a sata device on a prior windows installation?

it still does not show up, either in manage disks or through the seagate utility. fasttrack says the drive is functional, i just can't access it. its setup as 1+0 stripe. any ideas on what i need to do? my setup sl-k890 pro 939 windows xp pro sp2 amd 64 3000+ wd 120 gb (boot) seagate...

how do you install a sata device on a prior windows installation?

ive got a soltek sl-k890. my brother got me a 300 gb sata seagate & im trying to set it up. so far it is being detected by the promise fasttrack controller(?) but when it boots in to windows, it doesn't show up. from the mobo manuals it says to boot from windows cd & press f6 to load drivers...

computer reboots every now and then

well now at the login screen, when i try to log in it goes to the desktop picture, no icons show up and then it quickly goes back to login screen and proceeds to save settings and logout. this happens with every login account. i cant even get it to fully load. anyone know whats going on here?

computer reboots every now and then

my computer keeps rebooting by itself. i put in new memory in the last 2 weeks. went from 1gb geil w/blue heatspreaders pc3200 to 2x1gb mushkin vs pc3200 using this setup abit nf7-s amd 2500 athlon xp bfg 6800 also, after putting in new memory, the monitor would black out also but...

if i remember correctly, my science teacher from jhs told us that hypothetically, if you could move faster than the speed of light, you could catch up to the images of the past and see what had occurred. although, by the time you caught up, the images are most likely distorted because of light...

anyone realize that if you spend 150 at a retailer and say you pay sales tax of 8%, the retailer gets 162 with 12 of that is going to the government and then the retailer also gets taxed on income or profit earned on the 150? and if the retailer is a corporation, there is another tax...

my soltek is running pretty well...no major issues... my only gripe is the onboard lan...it seems to connect really slowly & when it does connect, i get a 10mbs connection message instead of the usual 100mbs connection message. although the internet does not seem slower than if it were at...

the rebates ask for original upc codes...so unless you go to a store & cut one out...i doubt you are gonna get both to work...tempting though for a 19"

need help finding cpu temps & computer specs

i tried the manufacturers app & it only shows cpu temp but it doesnt correlate with speedfan's so i am unsure if it is working properly. i also tried motherboard monitor but it does not support the soltek sl-k890 that i have my bios says temps are around 38 idle but how do i access bios when...
