ASUS K7M beeping problem... very strange

I still have one of these running Win98se for my sister in law. Have you check Hardware monitor setup in bios? There are 4 choices, they should be set to [ignore] for testing puposes. I don't know if this helps but I found this on google; It's the beeping of that hideous heart! [02/21/2000]...

You will need an ide controller card to allow you to connect 4 more additonal devices. Newegg.com had promise100tx2 for 33.00 shipped.

HP Deskjet 722C will not pick up paper. Help!

I have 2-HP870Cse's and one of them does the same thing, the only way to use it is to manually feed it. If you come up with a fix let me know.

What do I need to use DDR memory?

Your parents will never notice a difference between SDR and DDR. I would suggest a stable board due to it being your parents.

IRQ's ACPI, all that junk, what to do?

I've never cared for ACPI in W2K, I like having the ability to assign IRQ's and on my KT7a-R it never ran well under ACPI.

Don't login as admin and check harddrive properties and uncheck sharing.

Hard drive speed too low - Seagate Barracuda III 7200RPM

Has sandra fixed their issue with sis chipsets? I get random readings due to its inability to recognise sis chipsets fully.
