eSata issues - just plain won't work

Ha, I guess because I just got everything finally running solid as far as my PC goes and scared to upgrade....especially because I'd be going about it the bit torrent way...no way I'm paying hundreds of dollars for Windows.

Hmm, Well my motherboard is an MSI K9A2 Platinum and I've used both its on-board eSata ports to no avail (not add-on card), tried a different cable (although it's the same brand/type as the first one), there's no setting in BIOS for the eSata ports, period (much less a place to change it to...

Need help making web.config file please!!

Is anyone familiar with making a web.config file? Specifically, I need to register COM DLLs on our Windows server and also set the permissions for the DLLs once they're registered. I'm not extremely familiar with .NET or web.config files so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ian

PC Overheating

Soooo, it ran perfectly for like a week then froze. So basically I've been pulling sticks of RAM one at a time in all kinds of different combinations and noting which works and which doesn't...hoping to narrow it down to one stick or one slot. So far...it's confusing....but I'm getting...

Welllll about an hour and a half went by and....freeeeze. So I'm trying to remove one stick of RAM at a time to see if maybe that's the issue. I pulled one stick and have been running solid for almost two hours. I'll keep you posted.

Well I went home and first just unplugged my keyboard and plugged in the same one i used at work (just trying to remove one thing at a time). Then it froze. So I rebooted and then it couldn't find a boot device. Great. So that's where I am right now....fucked. I've had to reload this thing...

I've tried all that too. Unchecked all options, applied and closed. Then pulled properties back up and checked the ones I wanted again and it still is messed up. Thanks for posting though.

I don't know what the heck causes this, but I found a fix once when I googled it a few weeks ago, but it's only temporary I guess, and now I can't find it again. I simply maximize any window and the bottom won't stop at the Start bar, it'll go to the bottom of the screen, behind the bar...
