Been a while since I built a computer, but have built about 20 in the past.
Here are the specs:
ASROCK Dual-VSTA
E6300
Dual Channel DDR
Antec Smart Power 450 W PS
Here is the issue, when I try to boot up, I get nothing. I have removed everything from the case and tried again...
Had most of the components to build a new computer. Just need a video card to play basic games at acceptable resolution??
I have AGP or PCI-E 4x slot..
Is the 6800 series the best to match the E6300 and 2 GB Ram??
Thanks for your time
I am kinda in the same boat - 2 GB of Dual Channel Crucial ValueRam and Radeon 9800 I need to reuse. Leaning towards the E6300 and ASROCK VSTA.....Don't feel like dropping $500 in a system right now...Seems to me, for the same price as 939 Board and X2 3800, the E6300 might be a better choice...
In looking at the ASROCK 775VSTA with E6300 retail, seems like a good choice with the memory I have. Looks to be about $250 total and I can use my memory and ATI 9800 AGP card. Not a big PC gamer...
Thoughts??
I originally was going to overclock, but looked at my PC3200 RAM and it is...
Looking at my RAM I had last night, Cosair Valueram Dual Channel DDR400 (2 GB) - Hopefully, this will be a little overclockable with the 3800....
Not the best RAM but hopefully enough to get a little extra speed...
Thanks
Haven't built a computer for a few years.
I currently have a 2gb of DDR400 and just want to get a 939 MB with AMD Athlon 64 X2 chip. If I just buy the higher speed chip and not overclock (hence, using stock fan), would it be cheaper??
Cost vs performance??
3800 overclocked with nice...
The bidder winning my auction bought about $2000 worth of items in two minutes. Anybody dealt with this before??
Can I reject the bid and will the auction restart??
