Yes they do have USB ports but as I mentioned, they are for adding more storage. Is is not to allow you to connect the NAS directly to a computer.

True, RAID is not for backup and what I really am looking for is redundancy. Looks like those products you suggested only have Ethernet as a way of accessing it but no USB. The usb ports are for adding other storage devices. I would like to simultaneously be able to access the NAS through USB...

I am trying to setup a NAS with at least two drives so that I can set it up with RAID1. It will mostly be so that I can store all my files off of my computers since they only have a 128GB SSD. That is why it is important that it be a RAID1 because that will be the only local backup that I will...

Getting a 5GHz router

I haven't decided yet. Just want to get the base information first. If I am not going to see improved range, I do not want to spend extra money for an AC AP and instead get a N AP since all of my devices for the foreseeable future will only have 802.11N

Computer randomly shuts down

Figured out the problem. An iphone usb cable must be shorted out. Whenever I would plug in the cable, the computer would shutdown. If I unplugged it, it turned back on.

60C is the lowest it goes. I guess I can just wait until I can put the PC under heavy load to see what temps I am getting.

I've never had a PC do this to me so not sure what the warning is supposed to sound like. Is it a beep or a set of tones? I'm guessing it would sound something similar to other BIOS error sounds?

I have it set to shutdown at 90C and to get a warning at 60C. I will run HWMonitor for a bit and report back what temperatures I get from it.

I have an Acer Veriton L460 which is a a slim pc that has been randomly shutting down. When it does shut down, the two fans in the rear remain on but when I press the power button it doesn't turn back on. In order for me to get it to turn on again I have to unplug the cord from the power supply...
