Even though the choice of putting the city under siege and depriving it of the basic needs would seem logical, when trying to keep the number of casualties to a minimum, I think it will be overlooked because of the administrations desire to been seen as taking a proactive approach on the matter...

Is it possible to save a web page to disk?

In internet explorer go to file , then save as. Then change the save as file type to Web archive single file(.mht). This will save all the data and images to one file that can be saved to your local disk. Then display later on by just clicking on the file in the location you saved it to. Eraser

Is there any way to stop bash's incessant beeping?

Click on the settings menu select bell. From the flyout menu make sure a check is next to the none option. I am using the bash shell in Mandrake. Hope this helps. Eraser.

Win XP system restore function

There is no performance penalty during normal operations. I believe before/after a software install it takes a snapshop of system. Same thing on startup of windows. It will run constantly in the background, but in an idle state. Worst case, it takes up hard drive space, and system memory. Eraser
