Even beyond the question of can they is why in the hell should they. If it can be done quicker and more convincingly with a human actor why try and make it digital. I am not saying that Final Fantasy shouldn't have been made, I think that all options should be explored to see what is possible...
Really, how good do you think it will get. After watching the movie some friends of mine and I got into a discussion/argument about wether or not it will ever get to the point where we will not be able to tell the difference between a real life actor and a CG character. My friends say yes...
The simple answer is that yes Slot A is dead. In fact only the motherboards that support the Slot A thunderbird are ones that are based off the AMD 751 Northbridge (the K7M just happens to be one of these) so yes there is a upgrade path for you but I think you would be money ahead to just scrap...
Wow a Playstation 2 at MSRP.....what a deal. Of course I could just walk into Best Buy and pick up one of the 7 I saw there this afternoon. Are there any areas left that don't have a sufficient supply still?
Eric
It's really impossible to compare them because they are used in different processing models. The emotion engine of the playstation 2 is not used in the same manner as the CPU of a computer would be. The tasks are allocated differently and therefor require different kinds of capabilities...
The only problem that I see with that is that you will be ghosting save game files, settings files etc. that change every day so no matter how often you ghost you will lose some stuff. The other problem that I see is the fact that I see this as a way of being able to revert to a pretty clean...
Sounds like reformatting may be a good idea. Here is how I have my partitions split
On a 40 GB Maxtor I have:
C: 5 GB NTFS partition where I have Win2K installed
D: 25GB Fat32 partition where I install all of my programs (this way I don't lose all of my saved games etc. when I reload the...
next question where does ghost reside? If it is on the NTFS partition it ain't gonna work, if it's on the floppy or the FAT32 partition you're fine. Assuming that it is on the FAT32 partition this is what you do.
1. Don't be worried about the fact that you only have two drive letters when...
GOrb is EVIL!!!!!!!!!!
The retail AMD heatsink is actually a lower end Taisol. It is a reasonably good heatsink but if you want something better go for it's big brother the CGK760092. But whatever you do keep that GOrb away from that processor.

If you have it on MS Family Logon it stops asking for a password....IF you don't enter one once it's installed or delete the PWL files. So enable MS Family Logon, reboot and when the logon screen comes up just hit OK and it should never come back again.
Eric
Well I can give you a partial answer. What it is referring to when it talks about the bus master retaining ownership is that with many PCI cards they are what is referred to as bus mastering in that they can take control of the entire PCI bus when they need to utilize the entire bandwidth of...
If I could get mine working I'd let you know how it performs.
I had the FF Bios code happen...in my case it turned out to be dead CPU (RIP 1.2 Ghz T-Bird). Once I had the new CPU installed it would work but now everytime I try to install Black and White the Installshield Wizard locks up my...
