Most influential Graphic cards in history

The Diamond Stealth and the Matrox Millenium cards should be mentioned as well...

Prad states: this panel has a response time of 6 ms grey-to-grey and 12 ms black-white, which should also be sufficient for video playback and occasional computer games. > Does this has any influence on the playing of DVD movies on the screen?

    1. depends who you ask. Some people complain about strong oversaturation. Others find it much ado about nothing. And indeed, since all future PVA/IPS screens are likely WG, software is bound to catch up soon. 5. Fair enough, but also for the Eizo you would have issues because of the PVA panel...

The HP LP2475W is about half the price of the Eizo + has a s-IPS panel opposite to Eizo's PVA panel. So even though the blacks may have some white hazing, this is a no brainer ofcourse.

@ All with experience with a wide-gammut monitor: I am actually curious how wide-gammut performs in practice... Is WG something to avoid if you use your computer for a broad range of activities (so watching movies, internet browsing, office work and administration) besides sRGB design work???

It seems btw that also this screen is plagued by the wide gammut virus (which makes a screen not really useful for general use)

XKnight: any thoughts on the spanking new S-IPS 24" screen of HP (HP LP2475W). Got a positive review at http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/hp_lp2475w.htm

8 ms Samsung 19" 940T... isn't that the Samsung 940Fn ? Anyway, that one 'does' 333 EURO... slightly steep for a 19" I guess. The Samsung Syncmaster 913TM and Samsung 917P are also a PVA, but 300 EURO. LG basically has NO newer 19" VA panels, only TN, same goes for BenQ (at least not...

Size matters I am looking for a 19" (either 4:3 or widescreen) to function in portrait mode (so needs to be able to pivot and be height adjustable, and DVI would be nice as well) as secondairy screen next to a bigger primary screen. Apart from using it as 'Adobe panel' screen and reference...

4:3 vs. widescreen 16:10 Is there actually an advantage of a widescreen compaired to a 4:3 ratio screen, besides the fact that the wide screen is ofcourse ehm, wider ;-) An 21" 4:3 has 1600x1200 native resolution, while a 21" WS has 1680x1050... does this have any advantages or...

I went to the store yesterday and in any case I do know i certainly don't want a 20" WS... too small... and if i would go for a 21" I guess i would prefer it to be a normal 4:3 screen as well. 22" does work well as a widescreen... but which one...

Thanks! Yeah, the 24" Eizo S2431 hasn't convinced me fully. Partly because I haven't figured out if it is worth forking out 'S-IPS cash' for a PVA screen, considering that: Apart from that, I haven't figured out if it is more comfortable to work with one 24" or a dual screen setup with...

Dear Xtknight, Thanks for your reply. The 26" NEC is not really an option. Apart from being 200+ euro above my budget, I simply find the screen too big. Although topping my shortlist, I do wonder if the Eizo S2431 is worth this kinda money... for being a non-S-IPS panel... or the...
