HDD's are only good for sequential acces, meaning big files like movies and music. Put all apps on the SSD.

There is no reason to worry because
1) those chips can handle 70C, thottling will kick in however to prevent the temperature from rising further
2) if they get too hot (75C or so not sure exactly) they shut down before it gets dangerous
3) 5 minutes doesnt matter at all some people run...
