Compatibility Issues - VIA and celeron

Logitech wheel skips

i have the same problem with XP Home.... it will not scroll for the first two times i try, then the third time i try, it scrolls for all 3 times

20GB HDD became 1GB HDD after putting in old Quantum Fireball!

I'm missing 4GB's! :(

Whent he sell harddrives, the sell them by 1gb=1,000mb and 1mb=1,00kb, etc... when really 1gb=1,024mb and 1mb=1,024kb. quick explanation is that all computers work in 2's and 2^10=1024. so really when you bought a 60 gb hard drive, you were only really buying a 60,000,000,000 byte hard drive...

is it 200 or 266 FSB?????????

go into bios and check what the multiplier is at and figure out what the fsb is at... if its 12x, then is 200, if its 9x then its 266 i dont think 266fsb was released until 2000 though

Where is the problem?

I was putting together a system for my brother, with ECS K7ama board and tbird 1ghz and ddr memory from crucial. I had loaded Win 98SE without any problems, but when he tried to load a game on it from a CD-ROM, it wouldn't load and he kept getting a "Disk I/O Error". Then Windows kpet popping...

Maxtor Hard Drives

i've had maxtor drives for the last few years and none of them have failed on me. maxtors have always been reliable and i would reccomend then to anyone

Office XP on 2 machines???

the code you send microsoft comes from 2 things..... the key code that comes with the cd and a number made from your system configurations... the one from your system is made mostly from the MAC address of your nic, from what i've heard. i dont' know about being able to install it on 2...

whats the difference?

wow... that beats my solution. we were drilling holes through walls and putting in new wall jacks just for networking. it was a hassle, but it all looks good now. one thing to be careful about running wire under carpet is to hope that the wire dosen't break in any way, or you'll be digging up...

In dire need of anti-virus help..........

try running the scan again and repairing the files.... norton is weird sometimes about files... sometimes it can repair them, sometimes it cant... sometimes if you run the scan a few times it will repair the files for ya
