You shouldn't be buying a Celeron or pentium in 2022. Landfill tech. Doesn't matter if its an office or gaming box. No such thing as a budget gamer now anyway.

Question Will the $115 I3 12100 processor reset the 'budget' PC scene?

if you wanted a mom box you’d give her an iPad or chromebook. I haven’t built a PC for years but if someone still wanted one I’d expect a $100 or less mobo to go with this sort of CPU. And isn’t H610 gimped with single channel (or is it single DIMM) RAM only?

Landfill rubbish. Dual cores have no place in 2022. If you want a 4K pornhub premium box buy an IPad or one of the less rubbish chromebooks. 2 cores simply don’t have enough puff no more. Even my ultra tightarse work upgraded to Coffee Lake hexa cores even if they are T versions. Better yet:

Discussion First contact with Ryzen 5600G... Wow!

Said everyone at work too when we went from Core 2 PCs to low power "T" Coffee Lakes this year - literally a 10yr jump from 2 cores to 6 cores with 4 times the RAM and Win 10. Even the manager was surprised that Windows doesn't suck when you actually give it resources. Straight currency...

Discussion My 3400G rig, one year later

I somehow can't see how a Core 2 or X2 is even remotely unusable for that long even with OPs basic usage. Those CPUs/platforms are garbage landfill by now. And no SSD *shudders*.

Apple A13: Launch 2019-09-10 - Geekbench 4 & 5 scores available (GB4 multi-core 14070)

Bought an XR 6 months ago and consequently went all in with Apple tech; having everything in-house is certainly a big benefit. 20% faster than stupid fast is still certainly something though.
