Where did the AMD Vega Radeon packs go?

After all the launch hype of the AMD Radeon packs at the Vega launch to help get Vegas to gamers (vs miners), these packs are now pretty much impossible to find. AMD is still advertising them on its website. What happened to them, and will they be coming back...

Gigabyte EP45-DS3R - S3 Standby Mode

Did you upgrade to the latest f10 bios? It supposedly fixes the s3 resume issue in vista.

Asus a8n-e..

When I upgraded from 1010 to 1013, I found that my system would hang at boot time. I have a fully loaded system in terms of hard drives... I have 4 IDE drives and 4 SATA drives. I found that if I disconnect some of the IDE drives, I am able to boot with 1013. (I never had this problem...

Basic or Dynamic Disks?

If you intend to upgrade to Vista Home Premium, do not use dynamic disks! MS dropped dyanmic disk support in Vista Home Premium (while windows MCE XP still has it).

How to Enable Digital Audio (S/PDIF) on my mobo

Did you use the Nvidia Nforce drivers for the soundcard? I found that if i installed those, i couldn't get sound out of the SP/DIF. However, if i use the sound drivers from the asus site, A8N-E, it worked.

OCZ Modstream Vs Powerstream

Is the Modstream EPS12V compliant? It seems to have a 8 pin connector that you can construct out of 4 pin connectors. It looks like the right type. Officially, only the powerstream is EPS12V compliant, but does the modstream have unofficial EPS12V support?

Realtek ALC850 or Audigy 2 ZS?

We live in a sad world when Creative has somehow convinced all of us that we should be measuring the sound quality from our computers not in terms of its acousitic quality, but rather how much CPU utilization it takes!

Asus A8N-E and Corsair value select ram?

i'm using corsair value select in dual channel mode on the a8n-e and i have no problems.

a8n-sli chipset heatsink fan

I would not suggest unplugging the stock heatsink chipset fan. The heatsink is really, really tiny. I replaced the hsf with a huge zalman heatsink and even that gets too hot to touch.

Confused about ASUS A8N-E and Corsair ValueSelect

I'm using the 1003 bios and it posts fine with 2x512 corsair value select. It also posted fine with 1001 bios. it is in dual channel mode for sure and passes all memtest86+ tests.

Confused about ASUS A8N-E and Corsair ValueSelect

I was able to run the A8N-E with 2 dimms of the corsair value select memory (2x512) in dual channel mode with no problems.

A8N-E and Venice cores

I was able to post using the venice and the 1001 bios. Then I flashed it to 1003.

ASUS A8n-e Premium NForce 4

I received my A8N-E with the 1001 bios. I was able to boot with the venice core athlong 64 3000+ cpu. Then I was able to flash it to 1003 with no problems.
