Have you ever ran in a marathon?

I ran the Cleveland marathon two years ago. Sprained my foot at mile 12. Ran/limped the rest of the way. Finished 6 hours. Way too long, but not bad for running with a sprain. However, I had crutches for a week afterward... Also have done several half marathons. I love them. It's hard, but...

My dog is a little crazy

My macaw actually says "bless you" whenever someone sneezes. Sometimes she'll even sneeze loudly (a fake sneeze, mocking mine) and then say "bless you" to herself. As for my dog... there isn't much he is NOT afraid of. He'll bark at people from behind his underground fence, but if they take...

Wow, that's really sad. Kudos though for paying attention and getting all that info. Many people (possibly including me) would just stand there with their mouth hanging open in shock.

ever really really want to do a parrot thread

I have a blue and gold macaw and a sun conure. The macaw says "yucky" when she needs to poop, "poop" when she is trying and then "good poop!" when she actually goes. Sounds weird, but gives us the chance to get her off our shoulder real fast... Rest of her vocab: mickey (her name) riley...

Why do people put up crosses/memorials all over the roads?

QFT There is a memorial up where my stepfather was killed by a drunk who ran a stop sign at an intersection with a highway (little brother also severely injured, but he made it). Our family doesn't go out there and leave things, but the family of a the girl who died in the drunk's truck does...
