Did you check for OS corruption? If you run a command prompt as an administrator, type in: sfc /scannow

Those running 7 or 8: do you have updates turned off?

The new Win 10 cumulative update model now leaves me a bit apprehensive.I don't trust MS ever since they decided to roll out updates without the ability to select each update for us 7 and 8 users. So who here has updates disabled? I used to get my updates via Autopatcher, but that is now almost...

I just tried Pale Moon yesterday on my laptop - the x64 version. Seemed to work great, except when I click on my mouse button to go back a page, it does not work. The function works fine in FF and Chrome, so not sure what the issue is. I also had an issue with it displaying the Ublock Origin...

Back to the original topic, yes I'm a hold out for 7 and 8.1. I do have 10 on a spare laptop, but I just can't seem to accept it. There is also a possibility that it will become a subscription service which I don't want. Once 7 expires, I'll either keep using it, move to 8.1, or go with Linux. I...

Need an industrial-strength fix for Windows (7-64-SP1) Update

I get all my updates using Autopatcher. It installs only the critical updates, and gives you options for the others. I have turned off updates completely for windows 7, as I don't like what MS has done with their updates (i.e. inadequate descriptions).

I have no problems getting only security updates using Autopatcher for both 7 and 8.1. I just finished installing 8.1 fresh on a laptop. Downloaded and installed Autopatcher. After downloading all the updates, there were ~100 or so security updates for 8.1. In less than one hour, it was all...
