Drive Recovery Software?

Previously: I had two drives in my machine: an IDE drive with one partition (C) and a SATA drive with two partitions (D and E). My system drive (with windows on it) was the D partition on the second drive. Then: I needed some more space, and I decided that it'd be nice to get rid of the IDE...

If you had to choose 3 languages to become proficient in which would they be?

"best languages to become proficient in" for what purpose? If you want to make money, go for COBOL. Few people know it, nobody likes it, and it's a skill in high demand. You can easily make tons of money if you're willing to spend long hours deciphering ancient COBOL script on the dark dank...

which sorting strategy do you prefer? heap,sort... how to sort by calling a class?

I typically used the C++ function std::sort, but if you can't use the standard library for whatever reason, bubble sort is good enough for your purposes (or, if you must be fancy, go for comb sort).

I suppose for some definition of "good programming", sure. Personally, though, if I were paying somebody's salary, I'd want the guy that would produce clean, efficient code using the best tools available and not the one that could take a hundred times longer (and cost proportionally more)...

Next Saturday, I finally get to play..

Lag isn't very random at all (less so than the firing spread in TF2), but I don't remember whether TFC attempted to compensate for it or not. Since there were not many hit-scan weapons, it wouldn't really have been worth the effort, so I don't think they ever ported lag compensation back to TFC...

Next Saturday, I finally get to play..

TFC didn't have a firing spread (unless you count the pellets of the shotguns). TF2 has a significant firing spread with such weapons as the grenade launcher. They are definitely different types of games, and to me, TFC is far superior except in current popularity.

TF2 beta with Orange Box Pre-Order

TF2 as you once knew it most certainly is vaporware. If you want something that looks like it probably keeps to the spirit of the game better, check out Fortress Forever, which is already out (and is the reason I'd love to get somebody's extra HL2 gifted to me)
