Ordered a pair of them Sunday afternoon for a multi-monitor setup and Dell says they shipped already. Keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be happy with them whichever LCDs are in them. Total cost was $504.28 for the set. The $35 off $300 coupon canceled out the sales tax.

At noon (EST) 6/20, the website now says the price is 149.55 after $50 savings and $50 mail-in rebate. Good luck getting the pricematch with CompUSA, folks. Worth a shot.

Don't even bother with the old PCI card. I have a Radeon 9000 AGP, and when I tried to run it with a Matrox Millenium 1 or an ATI Expert 98 PCI card, I had similar problems. Tried switching slots, specifying IRQs, monkeying with BIOS settings - forget about it. The Radeon just didn't want to...

One thing that's always bothered me about the Apple "school of design" is how environmentally unfriendly their products are because of a lack of upgradeability. This has always struck me as ironic considering how Apple has tried to market themselves as the computer for the counter-culture...
