My Sony TRV-900 not comaptible with XP?

I have just upgraded to winxp from w2k and it won't recognize the trv-900 at all. Funny thing is that this is one of the camera supposed to be compat with winxp. Anyone else have problems?

Rio Receiver or Audiotron?

Hey guys. The house I'm looking to buy has cat-5 wiring, meaning I can stream music to my receiver! I found only 2 mp3 receivers out there. The Rio for $150 or the Audiotron for $270. Worth the difference in price?

Is 4-7x a good ripping speed?

Is there a faster/better program from ripping mp3s? Or is this a hardware problem. I have a pioneer 106s dvd drive.

Epson scanners w/slides

I've got the 1240 and it actually does a decent job. Depends on what your needs are though. I scan for us in powerpoint and it works fine. I don't think you'll ever get great quality slide scan from a flat bed scanner though.

looking for recommendation on digital camera

I love cannon cameras. I had the s10 for a while. Pictures were generally excellent, and the camera is extremely durable. Dropped it a couple of time onto cement. It dented, but no functional damage. I just bought a s110 for my girlfriend. There are several good deals in the hot deals...

Is 4-7x a good ripping speed?

I'm using the freebee musicmatch program and have been getting between 4-7 rip speed when extracting mp3 at 128k. Is this respectable? btw, does anyone experience lock-ups after ripping several cds?
