If you’re already set on spending the extra money then reach for the RTX 2060. It supports all of the DX12 Ultimate features, DLSS 2.0, RTX Voice, and more. DLSS alone is enough to consider it over a GTX card, especially if you’re going to keep the card for around 18 months.

I’m personally very excited to see the updated uArch (RDNA). Its look to address a lot of the occupancy issues that plagued GCN. We’re seeing a 2560 SP part keeping pace with the best version of GCN with 4096 cores. Once AIB models hit and potentially clock up to 2100 MHz, they should come...
HWU unboxed showed very similar wins with 2X MSAA. After applying 4X MSAA, the 5700 XT is about 10% faster than the 2070S, as shown below. Being it’s a pure DX12 engine, I’m not surprised that Navi is doing well here.
I've recently done testing with a stock and overclocked FX 8350. I also matched it up against an I5 3570K - While the FX pulls a lot more power, it still holds up fine for most modern games. In some games the FX 8350 Overclocked was close to or topping out the RTX 2060

I guess I’m the odd duck here… So just some personal experience here with DLSS. I’m only using an RTX 2060 to play Metro Exodus at 1440p/Ultra settings with RT enabled and no Tess. For me, it’s been an acceptable experience FPS wise (40-70 FPS) area depending. Enabling RT using these settings...

Yes, FFR was enabled and this was in DX12. I don't have an issue using FFR, but I'm not a competitive player. Performance varies depending on the map. Sometimes I would see GPU usage in the 60% range, while other times it was in the high 90's. Either way, it was in the 60 FPS range or 90-100 FPS...
I just got done testing my 3570K at 1080p Ultra settings with an RTX 2060. There are some stutters here and there, but performance is quite good, well over 60 FPS.
