Doesn't anyone understand what the AGP 'x' is? It refers to the speed at which texture data is transferred from main memory to the graphics board. Even at 4x, if you have to get texture data from main memory, you have already lost the battle. Its just too slow. I'm runing at 2x, the default, and...

ABIT KT7 and NVIDIA MX / GTS

Coolingproblem AMD Duron 650

Yeah, with a stock TBird 750 I'm getting 29C at the desktop (With Rain running) The highest its gotten when pushing it hard is 46C, above 50C I think I'd start getting nervous. But thats mostly cause I just have a stock HSF

oryPC 133 on Abit KT7

I believe the setting is in the Softmenu section of the BIOS, it is called "DRAM Clock" and it is set to "Host CLK" for PC100 and "HCLK + PCICLK" for PC133 (100Mhz + 33Mhz)

Sent me KT7 Instead of KT7Raid

Heh, in my case I got the extra aqua IDE cables, but it was still a KT7 (which is what I ordered) Wonder how that happened.

How many Anandtech users are satisfied with the KT7 (Both RAID & Non-RAID?) Poll

Satisfied owner. I wasn't thrilled with the price of SocketA mobos, but my previous board was an Abit BH6 so I went with the KT7. AMD TBird 750 (can run an 1GHz) on a KT7

HELP: Decide mobo for Duron 650

Need help (explanations) of a few BIOS configurations/settings

Hmm, the one I know is the OS/2 one, WinME is NOT OS/2. OS/2 is an IBM OS as in OS/2 Warp. That setting should be disabled.

Abit KT7-RAID won't soft reboot or power off

Check your power managment settings in the BIOS, I am running with ACPI disabled and APM controlled by OS set to False. However I am running Win98, not SE and I have heard of problems with SE shutting down. I don't know what the solution was though.

KT7 USB Header????

Riiiight... I know where the header is, what I'm looking for is what plugs into the header. (On the KT7, the manual seems to indicate is is a single 10 pin connector rather than 2 5 pin ones.) Will the double 5 pin types work? This is what I'm confused about.
