Nope, it is not working as i said before. tested with all 4 versions of flashers and with multiple versions of firmware including the custom ones 8D_XX_XX so none of the firmwares from ASM2362 do not accept the firmware from ASM2364
And to return at our previous discussion, NO, you can't crossflash ASM2364 firmware into ASM2362 because the downloader application will not let you, no matter the version.... and i did try all 3 of them available public. If someone did make this crossflash i am also curious what other means...
As i told you before, variations of the chipset are A and B and in your case on B variation they did not enable sata for some models witch is normal.
I wanted to show you that i do have also older ones and not just B models and for those firmware stops at 1.29.12
B variant and it's variations...
No mate, you are wrong again. As i said before , RTL9210A - NVME ONLY, RTL9210B- SATA+NVME. All of them come in different packageings hence the -something.
And to finish this once and for all below pictures of 2 of my enclosures NVME ONLY- RTL9210.
To be more exact there are 2 types of RTL9210 (10Gbps)
1. NVME ONLY MODEL RTL9210A witch has latest firmware available today 1.29.12 from 2022.01.11
2. NVME AND SATA MODEL RTL9210B with has today latest firmware available 1.33.44 from 2024.01.18
That was the first thing i did when i did get all firmwares from usbdev. I did try to crossflash but it is not accepted. ASM2362 and ASM2364 can't be crossflashed. I did try with older upgraders and also latest version and with all the result it is the same - FAIL
It seems that in chinese forums there is a chat about a newer firmware for ASM236x . AS_PCIE_220906_81_45_00 should be the firmware customized by Micron for ASMedia. Maybe someone can look and see if their devices have this fw. The tool to extract asmedia firmwares can be found HERE
What did u not get till now? Did u not get that we, the consumers are always the testers and no one invests in such things these days.
@Sermion - could you back up your T7 firmware maybe it is newer then the last one of ASM2362 today 210527_81_00_00 and upload it somewhere.
Found your JMS customiser https://zibri.github.io/JMS579/index2.html and it's really nice. Maybe u can do the same for the new JMS583 fw 214 that i got out from an upgrader, 00.02.01.04 and i uploaded HERE along with some instructions for those that want it modified at hand.
Maybe you can post a dump of your UGREEN adapter with the fw dumper that i put a few pages back or you can download it here : https://disk.yandex.com/d/zZLFx-BhRnpOTg
to test it also in my Asus adapter.
Small news regarding ASM2362. It seems the guys in the forum where i downloaded the last firmware got pissed off that i did and that i shared it here for free. In their discussions it seems that there is another firmware that is newer for ASM2362 , AS_PCIE_220906_81_45_00 . Maybe you guys are...
And since the weekend is coming , maybe you want to make an upgrade to your ASM2362 chipsets at AS_PCIE_210527_81_00_00 firmware :)
And yes, i did manage to pay for the firmware using a 3rd party so that you can all download it for free.
Inside you will find a generic config and one for Asus...
As i do not want to advertise other websites, the chinese one has a lot of firmwares, now are hidden as i see but along them were :
And for sure for ASM2362 and not 2364 were these:
If the one you put there is also for 2362 and not 2364 then it's newer...
As requested RTL9210A firmware 1.29.8A and B and 1.30.21 for B reuploaded and i also added for JMS583 firmware 213 with some modifications done so that name of drive, parameters and stuff are seen by windows programs proper. Inside the package are 2 examples on how the enclosure is seen at eject...
