You can't combine a drive on the blue parallel raid connector with a drive on the primary or secondary IDE ports to create a raid array. You have to combine it with a drive on either of the serial ata ports, or create an array using drives on both of the serial ata ports. Of course, to do this...
I like the P4PE board so far, with the single exception of the on-board Soundmax sound. It doesn't work at FSB settings above 150. It's too bad, since the Soundmax sounds fairly good for an on-board solution. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
If you want to run the memory at pc3200 speeds or above it will be tough to beat the Corsair XMS sticks based on what I've seen in the AT Forums. I've had good luck with Mushkin PC2700 which they sometimes have on special for as low as $149 for 512mb. I havent had the occasion to clock it at...
Yeah, I agree with DAPUNISHER. Bump your vcore up little by little until you're stable in windows. You might also consider setting the DRAM Command Rate in the bios to 2T Command, at least until you've determined the limits of the cpu.
Many of the people posting scores on Madonion change the default D3D settings in the D3D advanced settings tab of the Nvidia driver. By changing the mipmap detail level setting from "best image quality" (default) to "best performance", nature scores generally improve 15% or better.
A few questions:
1. Did you unlock the cpu by connecting the last L3 bridge?
2. What motherboard are you using?
3. What vcore setting?
Several things could be causing your problem, including a cpu that may not be able to do 2000 mhz.
It is really a close call between the two. The Asus seems to have less variations in the vcore and 12v rail values in MBM5 when the CPU/Memory subsystems are being stressed in Prime 95, but the ABit has a AGP/Pci lock feature in the bios that locks the AGP at 66mhz and the Pci bus at 33mhz...
No, I'm currently using a Asus P4T-E 850 chipset board, which operates at 400 fsb (100x4) default. You can run it at up to 624 fsb (156x4) by using jumper mode and correctly configuring the jumper block on the board. I still have my TH7-IIR and plan on putting it back in my RDRAM system after...
I'm running mine as follows:
CAS Latency: 2T
RAS Precharge Time: 2T
RAS to CAS Delay: 2T
Active to Precharge Time: 6T
Bank Interleave: 4 Banks
DRAM 4k/8k Page Enable: 8K
DDR_1T/2T_Item: 2T
Burst Len: 4
Read Around Write: Enabled
I'm running 2x256mb Crucial DDR pc2100 memory at 150 fsb with an...
Ryan, if your board works and does what you want it to do, I wouldn't lose a lot of sleep over it. The bad thing about building your own system is that you will never be satisfied with it or content for very long! ;)
Yes, you can boot the OS from your 80 gig drive and run RAID 0 using the 2 30 gig drives as long as you setup the boot selections correctly in the advanced bios options section of the bios. Make sure that IDE 0 is set as a boot selection, assuming your 80 gig drive is connected to that...
Assuming that you're not running a 4:5 memory ratio and that your XP2100 is still locked, this error probably means that the cpu isn't stable at 142 fsb. Try increasing the vcore if you're not already maxxed out, or reduce your fsb until you don't get the error. If you have the 1T command...
