Yes, it shows my raid array. It's a Highpoint 372 and I press Ctrl+H at p.o.s.t. to access the raid cmos setup. The drives should be listed under status as hdd0 and hdd1. They are connected to hdd3 and hdd4 on the mobo (the raid connectors), but logical hdd0 and hdd1 is what they should be under...

Mmm.... I went into the raid bios at p.o.s.t. and the status of the Primary Master is Hidden, and the status of the Secondary Master is BOOT. That definately is not right.

The data on drive E is not encrypted. But I guess if I can't recover the array, I'll just have to rebuild it. One of these days I'll learn to backup.

I have three hard drives in my system. One is a Maxtor Diamond Max, and the other two are WD800JB's. The Maxtor drive is drive C and has my OS (XP Home) and some system specific programs on it. The WD's are Raid 0 (drive E ) and contain everything else (programs, games. data). When I tried to...

Is the Hide inactive icons box checked under Taskbar Properties? (Right-click on the taskbar and click properties.) Also, you can click on the Customize... button for further settings.

Help! Something has taken over IE and changes homepage and displays "3 bars game"

Sounds like some scumware got installed. Run Spybot or Ad-Aware to clean it out. Might not hurt to also clear out your cookies file. Go into IE/Internet Oprtions and reset your homepage.

Why is Weatherbug full of spyware?

Mmm... I use Weatherbug and haven't noticed any "spyware" problems. As a matter of fact, I hardly get any pop-ups or banner ads, and only about 2 or 3 spams a week. What am I doing wrong? Should I disable all my safeguards? I need something trivial to worry about. What can I do to experience...

XP registry changes not taking

Thanks. Safe Mode helped me pin-point the problem. It was a setting in the Nvidia nView Desktop Manager. The setting was a check-box to make windows minimize and maximize faster (which really is worded wrong, because that's not all it does - it also sets MenuShowDelay to 0). I unchecked that...

XP registry changes not taking

Some changes I make using regedit aren't taking affect. For instance, some time back I set MenuShowDelay to 0 to make Start Menu items pop-up faster. However, I want to set the key to another value. After doing so and logging-off then back on, or rebooting, the value is back at 0 again. I've...

Are Epox Boards Reliable?

Thanks for the info. As it was though, I still couldn't get into my raid controller bios setup until I disabled USB keyboard and connected a PS/2 keyboard. If I leave the USB keyboard connected I can get into the system bios, but not the HP372 raid setup (Ctrl-H).
