Java is fine for applications that spend most of their time waiting for user input (most business applications). But for applications like this one that has alot of graphics processing java is probably not the most efficient way to go.

Over at neowin they are reporting that the windows 2000 source code as well as the nt4 source code has been leaked. Very interesting. I wonder if it is true.
I have burned it but not tried it yet, a couple things are keeping me from installing. On the CD documentation it says minimum 512 MB ram. On technet it says minimum 1 GB ram. I am still not sure about program compatability.

Simple Tech has a solid state disk that sells for under 400 bucks depending on where you buy it. 1.2GB for under 400 bucks. Can anyone shed some light for me on how much of an increase in disk IO you are looking at when going from a regular rotating disk drive to one of these.

It is probably due to the limitations of FAT32. If you make a smaller partition you should be able to format the drive using FAT32 under windows XP. Use the following command:
C:\>format <drive letter>: /fs:fat32
