I believe the number for the EVO isn't part of the model, it just refers the the body style. X refers '08+. IX is the few years before '08.

i7 920 w/ GA-EX58-UD3R

Intel X-25m owners - Intel fixed the bootcamp issue

Anything wrong with High-capacity drives?

You can never determine when your drive will go bad to the point of "i can't get my data". If you are really worried about losing a ton of data, there are a lot of options out there. Internet backup sites, burning Blu-ray / DVDs, Raid 1 or 5. Any of those things will decrease the likely hood...

What is your all time favourite CPU?

Pentium II 300Mhz MALAY SL2W8. I ran that chip at 554Mhz rock solid, it was a great chip, a legend. The Celeron was a champion as well from that era, most of those could do 450Mhz no sweat which is an overclock percentage that hasn't been matched until the G0 Q6600s
