So when the computer turns on I am prompted to go into the MOBO setup. From here if I select to boot off of the HDD windows 7 will run no problem. Any ideas how to fix this? I know boot priority is in the right order, and I am using a an Asus P877-V motherboard. Thanks.

So I made a partition for windows XP the minimum size possible to fit the OS thinking that was all I needed and I would use the remaining space to save everything else. In the process of installing the OS I didn't partition the the remainder of the disk until after I had already installed...
So I can purchase a college windows 7 upgrade but I currently don't own a copy of windows xp. Is it possible to download a trial version of Xp and then purchase the upgrade so I have a fully licensed version of 7 on my computer? Unless someone has a better idea or something more inexpensive. I have a 600 watt modular PSU. I have the 24 pin cable in the supplemental 8 pin for the CPU but the PSU has a 4 pin cable built in and I am not sure where it attaches to. Please help
