NetBEUI is NOT a routeable protocol
if the two computers are crossing the router to talk to each other you need to use tcp/ip
you can however use NetBEUI over tcp/ip
i have no clue about those types of routers... do they use ACLs [access controll lists]?

read closely in your mobo manual about ram that work with the 845D
you can only use TWO double sided stick and one single sided

1. my machine does not shutdown properly after installing the CLI client version.

for one thing you will have improved bandwidth with the Router since each port would get 100% to each pc... but routers do create latency since they need to make choices and some what think...
as a hub is "sharing" the bandwidth with every pc since it just repeats the signal to every port on...

You need to make sure you buy fire resistant cat 5 cabling it starts with a P or G... I cant remember when i know this!!!
It is building code in most areas to use this type of cabling inside walls. Normal Cat 5 cables release toxic gas when burned.

let me start off by saying I have had no problems with booting at all untill I changed out my heatsink with a new powerful unit.
my problem is I get no video on the monitor
the lights on the board lights up like it is working... no beeps
devices light up and i can open and close my cd roms...

a board should work out of the box with 99% of devices
the Sb live problem was a huge miss, it isnt some rare card or device!
further more can you imagine having 400 via machines at a company.....
changing all those bios and updating with the 4in1 drivers
