Corsair PSU owners, please read.

Apparently Corsair replace PSUs that make whining noises such as this, but unfortunately I think I've probably voided my warranty because I had to cut open the cladding of the PCI power connecter to get it to fit between the end of my graphics card and the drive cages.

Corsair PSU owners, please read.

Hi there, I have a Corsair CX 430 PSU in my computer, and it works just fine as a power supply, but it's really noisy. And I'm not talking about fan noise, I'm talking about a high-pitched whining noise that sounds like it's probably coming from some of the capacitors charging/discharging inside...

Is it a good idea to leave off a front intake fan?

My case has a 120mm intake fan in the front but I don't think it's doing much good there, with only a thin grill out the side of the front panel and the drive cages in the way. So do you think I'd be better off removing that fan and attatching it to one of the 120mm mounting points on the...

Your opinion needed..$200 new card

Exactly, I don't do much on my desktop besides gaming and stuff that doesn't much use much memory such as web browsing and word processing. Hence, it's probably not worth me or others with similar computing requirements getting massive amounts of RAM even if it is cheap.

He said this isn't an upgrade, he's buying a whole new machine from Hewlett-Packard that has integrated graphics and from what I understood he's going to install performance card.

^This. 4GB is just fine really, it works for me. But you won't be able to run a performance graphics card off of that OEM 300W PSU.

Really? I have 4GB of physical DDR3 and the machine never seems to use much more than 1.5GB, it doesn't bottleneck performance at all. But that in mind I rarely have much going on in the background when I'm playing games.

Wierd... stupid idea, but maybe it's to do with the fan blades gaining momentum over time.

Get a Radeon 6850 or 6870. They've got one of the best price/performance ratios out there, and I have a 6850 in my pc that gives a solid 60 FPS for just about anything I throw at it.

Norton 360 process name

Hey, does anyone know what the Norton 360 process is called? My subscription ran out and I replaced with avast! but Norton bombards me with renewal dialogues every 30 minutes it seems and it's jsut ridiculous. I can't find anything that sounds like Norton 360 in the processes tab of Task...

Best video card for gaming and photo/video editing?

I don't have any experience with that card, but if it is a great card then yeah you should definitely see about updating the drivers and such to see if you can run BF3 properly before you go running off to buy a $400 card for no good reason.
